We've all seen the adverts & know the satisfaction of using lots of shampoo to create a thick lava for your hair in the shower knowing you've done a good job of cleaning, it smells great & makes your hair healthy. What if it was far from the truth!
Chemicals, Chemicals Chemicals!
Like in our food, cosmetic products are full of damaging ingredients! In reality, your scalp produces natural cleansers & nutrients called sebum, the problem is traditional shampoo & conditioners strip this from your hair & add artificial chemicals instead. Not only that, for shampoo to get a thick white lava it needs a lots of SULPHATE & plastic thickeners further damaging your hair!
If you were to take a sample of your hair, it would be coated in plastic! Shampoo may actually weaken your hair making it thinner or gradually fall out! The more you use shampoo, it causes an overproduction of sebum, giving hair that “grease ball” look, which in turn makes people want to shampoo all over again & creates a vicious cycle.
Our products is full of toxins. More & more studies are linking these toxins to cancer, autoimmune diseases, birth defects & more..

The Way Forward
Don't wash your hair with Shampoo?
No Poo! - This is a growing popular movement to leave your hair alone & only wash with water. Sure it'll look greasy for a few weeks while your natural cleansers kick in, but then you'll be free! You'll also save money!
Alternatively choose a shampoo without sulphate or harsh chemicals, not always easy to find and can be expensive.
Other methods are to use bicarbonate of soda as a one a month cleaner, then use Cider Vinegar as a conditioner.
There are many examples online to read & discover people best methods.
Are there any products that are safe to use?
I'm currently 1 week in only using water, so far so good!
